Abstract
Occipital neuralgia (ON) has been rarely associated with cervical cord lesions. We report high cervical myelitis mimicking intractable ON in a previous healthy 47-year-old woman with a history of ON. There was no history of ON in previous reports with high cervical myelitis presented with ON. Our case supports that cervical myelitis should be considered as a cause of secondary ON when ON is intractable even if the patient has previously had ON.
